As one of Paxus CPA’s Staff Accountants, Megan States brings a strong background in accounting administration, customer service, and detail-focused financial work to her role. Megan’s career path took an unexpected turn from her studies in Massage Therapy before she found her true calling in accounting administration. She spent nearly thirteen years at a chiropractic office, where she managed personal injury billing, payment plan setup, vendor and insurance communication, and patient account reconciliation. That background built the customer service instincts, sharp deadline management, and calm, detail-oriented approach that make her such a natural fit for the fast-paced, client-focused work she does at Paxus. Megan grew up in Washington, Oklahoma, and still calls it home. She and her husband, Chris, are proud parents of three children. When she’s not chasing after her kids, Megan enjoys family getaways to Lake Eufaula, working on puzzles, quilting, and tending to her growing collection of indoor plants (her husband affectionately calls her the “crazy plant lady”). She also enjoys cooking and watching movies with her family.
